#### Ecosystem Action Research Initiative
A volunteer group has launched **Ecosystem Action Research**, a pilot program designed to address critical challenges facing the [[AT Protocol]] ecosystem through cooperative, research-led innovation.
#### Five Core Research Themes
The initiative focuses on five key areas identified through community engagement:
**User Experience**: Simplifying the complex nature of decentralized services spanning the ecosystem to improve accessibility and usability.
**Brand Awareness**: Developing the [[AT Protocol]]'s consumer brand identity and personality beyond [[Bluesky]]'s current dominance.
**Trust & Safety Readiness**: Supporting organizations and communities of all sizes in protecting users across their services.
**Economic Factors**: Breaking through financial barriers that currently challenge the majority of ecosystem participants.
**Contributor Enablement**: Supporting the people who work to build and maintain the community infrastructure.
#### Research Methodology
The program will conduct interviews, run workshops, and co-create research artifacts to support actionable conversations within the community. All research outputs will be communicated transparently to build trust and encourage open collaboration.
#### Community Participation
The initiative emphasizes that the ecosystem belongs to everyone and actively seeks input from the wider community through their participation program. Updates will be shared through @ecosystemaction.com and their publication.
#### Support and Team
The project is supported by the [[AT Protocol Community Fund]] and led by a diverse team of eleven volunteers from across the ecosystem.
